Economy in Indonesia
Better or worst?
Indonesia country have strength and weakness just like the other country in this world. Indonesia’s strength can make an opportunity to do Indonesia’s purpose to become a better country. As same as strength, the opposite of Indonesia’s strength, Indonesia’s weakness , can make big threat that can destroyed Indonesia’s slowly and constantly.
If we see Indonesia now, we will found so many problem in public aspect like politic system, economy, social, technology, environment , and law after President SBY command. Economy has bigger problem than others as we know now.
Can you imagine Economy in Indonesian in the next five years? Let’s analyze it!
First in the political system in Indonesian. Talking about Indonesia’s economy from political views is about economy policy which are issued by Indonesia’s government. Strength of the economical government is the policy to pay off many debt to IMF and it succes. Government policies toward small and medium businesses are managed to raise the people's economy sector. it makes Indonesia's economy improved and slightly improve the ugliness.
Other than strength, political policies for the economy also has a weakness. This weakness evidenced by some government policies are always changing in today's economy. This is evidenced when Indonesia disconnect bilateral relation with IMF. although already broken, every government policy can be monitored and protested by the IMF. It makes our economic policy is not free. And as if we know too, many changing policy in this global crisis make our economical getting worst.
Many econom said that if we repair the policy now, economy in Indonesia will stabilize in the end in next year. That’s the oppurtunity that we have now if we stabilize the policy soon. But if we don’t move on soon, it will make a threat to political stabilization. In the crisis like now, economical threat can influence all aspect contain the politic. I think this crisis is the beginning of the economical threat.


If we analyze with economical lecture, the strength is GDP increased and improvement small and medium businesses. It makes our ministry and president SBY target economy development to raise and increase up to 7 % in this time they command. Although it is a strength, but someone think that it is a weakness. Why? Many people said that 7% is too little to realizing 5 years of develop the economic sector. The second weakness is the corruption. I think it unnecessary to be explain.
Since May 2009 Indonesia’s economical fundament is stay strong. Also support with combination step of monetary policy and fiscal policy which taken by government good enough. Moreover, someone (Indonesia’s econom) said that he see the big market domestic of Indonesia are an opportunity for jack up economy growth. Indonesia’s involvement as member G-20 who join in make internasional economy policy is become indonesia’s opportunity for grow faster than other.
Reversed to the opportunity, Indonesia has many threat in pursue the opportunity. Becoming a member in G-20 is good but it will be a worst threat. Indonesia has many resources that patronize economic growth intern and to the world but i think it will be a good way for other country to capitalize for they without give us a feedback. Try to understand that!
In analysis of social, the strength is many investor come to invest in Indonesia recently. Relation between Indonesia’s government or Indonesia’s industry and private are happen in good way. But the weakness is Indonesia government will forget the consentration in national industry and prefer look the private sector. It makes national sector weak and worst than private.
If we look the strength, we will know the opportunity is from the relation with private sector. I think a good relation with private can make many advantages. Feedback which are ordered by private can give our country much help and income. That feedback can we use to finance our economical development.
Talk about opportunity is easy, but we must know the threat too. I think the threat is a part of our weakness too. The threat is privatization of national industry to become a private industry because off that relation above.

Move on technology, the strength is located in Indonesia’s policy to maximize everythings about technology to support government and civil to develop economy faster. But sometimes it will be a weakness to make civil and government working late and delay the process.
The opportunity is based on the strength. If we do the policy, I think it will be a chance to accelerate economic growth and economic development. But, there is a threat behind the opportunity. In this globalization era which many technology that being used much than ago, the threat is bioterorisme. Bioterorisme will disturb system in economic matters moreover until the system break or stop.
In analysis of environmental lecture, talking economy is about resource usages. The strength found in natural resource for economy development is fulfill even more in Indonesia. But it is inversely proportional to cultivate when the subject is not competent and expert and that is the weakness. Another weakness is economy and environment can not be separated and divided into each focus. There is a negative relationship between economic growth with the availability of natural resources in the earth. This means an increase in economic growth will be followed by a decreasing availability of natural resources on earth.
Same as technology, the opportunity based on the strength of the Indonesia’s environement, a lot of natural resources. I think a lot of natural resources can patronize the economical development and economical growth. if the resident needs are met by these resources, I think the civil will increase productivity so they can build Indonesia's economy. Talking about the environment, there is a serious threat on pollution. When pollution hit the subject or object, then the productivity will decrease and so may delay revenue for economic development.
The strength in law lecture, Indonesia is a state law became the rule of law is upheld. Law in the economy will make obedient each subject. When fully enforced the law strictly, I think the economic actors in Indonesia will think back to do cheating in the economic system. It would make a clean economy in Indonesia. KPK also the one of model strength to support economy that uphold the law.


Although there is a institution to uphold the law in economy sector, but there is a weakness too. Law almost often buy by money from several person who have much money. It is very crucial and can’t be exterminated so fast because it can be know and predict who and how to do it.
That weakness are difficult to exterminated, but outside the weakness there is an opportunity. What opportunity?
One of the National Development Program Policy Legal Affairs is included in Lines of State Policy (the Guidelines) is to develop legislation to support economic activity in the era of free trade. Of course, these policy directions is one explicit statement that the Unitary Republic of Indonesia has made the choice to develop a legal system that supports a market economy (market economy). The use of the law is consciously to alter or develop the Indonesian society into a society that supports the market economy is possible given the law can function as "a tool of social engineering", a tool for social engineered. Besides the law, it can still be debated the possibility of other factors such as economics and the use of technology in the emergence of a desired change.
There are many opportunity from the law, but we must to know the threat. Actually, the threat are disagreements between the existing law with economic development plans could delay the development of a protracted national. Threat also can be corruption law that could lead to rampant corruption.
That’s the end of the analyze. What the next?
If we look in analyze outline, we won’t predict about the description of Indonesia’s economy in the future.
In the political views, in the next 5 years the policy makers will be think many times before they decide the policy draft remember tears in the state of current political policy. they will try to make better and minimize the existing deficiencies. But when discussing the threat, it can not be expected in this era of globalization.


In the economy, i think the government will accept invitation for join the G-20 summit. But I still doubt the offer is free of its plan to build a global economy together.
In the social, if the politics policy are success and the system are renewed, i think there are several nationalization private industry in the short time. But if the politics policy failed i can’t predict how many investor who build private industry in Indonesia.
In the technology and environment, i think the technology will so helping to economy development and national development. But i think, improvement of technology will decrease function of environment. A decreased environment will decreased the natural resource, it will make economy development delayed. I can’t predict this will be better or worst?
In last, law lecture, i think the instution of law upholding is success to uphold many man who corrupt Indonesia’s. In the next five years, corruption will be decrease so income will be increase and grow up the economy development.
